Dear Robotics Coaches and Mentors,
Save-the-Date for the Northshore region’s 2nd annual Robotics Mentoring Extravaganza at Southeastern Louisiana University.
Please share this calendar invitation with any high school robotics coaches and mentors in the northshore region that were not included.
This is the first of two event days. The second event day is October 28 at Northshore Technical Community College. See the google calendar invitation sent for that date.
This two-day event series will feature workshops and presentations in college labs on selected topic areas such as coding, electrical and mechanical, 3D design and printing, fundraising, marketing, business management and more.
The target audiences for workshops and presentations are high school robotics teams and their coaches and parents, as well as current and potential mentors.
High school robotics teams in the northshore region will have priority registration. Teams with mixed grades that include students in high school grades (9-12 grade) are also invited for the initial registration period. Middle school and elementary grade teams and teams from outside of the region will be invited to participate as space is available.
A Call for Presenters form link will be sent this month, in July. Subject Matter Experts will be invited to sign up to present on topics of their choice. Final topics will be confirmed before general event registration opens in August. SMEs include college faculty, industry professionals, community members, coaches and robotics team members.
The Team event registration form link will be sent in early August.
