Team 2992 originates from a small town located in Louisiana with a limited background in STEM. Due to the lack of resources in our area, we have formed a strong relationship with the local government and school board, although no funding is provided from them, to impact the community deeply and compete against top-performing teams in FRC. Due to the lack of STEM organizations in our area, our team has worked to educate future generations as early as possible about STEM through our summer camps that are held annually. Our team also assists smaller FRC and FTC teams by allowing them to have access to our shop and the materials that have been provided for us. Other ways that we spread STEM throughout our community are by doing local robot demonstrations and hosting our very own off-season event every other summer that many love. Despite the challenges in our area, our team has strived to overcome them and build a better STEM foundation for the community to grow off of.
