In an ongoing effort to support and encourage STEM careers for youth, Ochsner Information Systems has partnered with Mandeville High School’s First Robotic Club 2992. After winning the Arkansas Regional as well as another world qualifier at the Bayou Regional, the 50-member FRC 2992 club, advanced to the World competition in Houston. This amazing feat happened with only two laptops. With a donation of 20 laptops from Ochsner, the team hopes to better their best season to date in the 2019-2020 school year.  The team’s shop is in the City of Mandeville’s Public Works facility where committees work to design, build, code, test, fundraise, and plan outreach events. The laptop donation was presented on Wednesday, May 15th at the teams’ media and awards night by Ochsner IS, Education Outreach, and Community Affairs.  The Mandeville team gave tours, and presented a demo of their award-winning robot, Starlord.
